Season One
Meet Your Host, Wiley Deason
Wiley is a Christian, husband, father, friend, mentor, leader, and preacher. He is a highly motivated and positive person with an unquenchable desire to improve in all areas of his life. Not only does he seek personal improvement, but his friends describe him as “the guy” who pushes them “to always be better and to do the right thing.” Wiley strives to be diligent in all that he does.
After graduating from college, Wiley worked in the banking industry, serving in various lines of business in different states. He met his wife, Mallory, at a Bible study in Tennessee and now they are married with three children: Liam, Nora, and Simon.
Eventually, Wiley would leave his banking career and dedicate his full attention to his family and to local church work. Wiley has preached for various churches of Christ throughout the country and in other countries. His experience as a leader in the home, the corporate world, and in the church offers a valuable perspective that he wants to share.

In this episode Wiley speaks to the importance of being diligent as we accurately understand the Bible and apply it to our lives. He talks about all of the voices we hear in our culture and the dangers of believing lies. He then discusses the value of a deep love for God’s law that will motivate us to handle it accurately and diligently.

In this episode Wiley discusses the value of being diligent as we experience growth and maturity in our lives. He defines what genuine growth is all about. He talks about the important role that knowledge plays in our personal growth. He concludes by identifying the personal and productive nature of real growth.
